It was around ten-ish in the morning that day when I got the surprise of my life when my bestest friend, Margret called me up and asked if we could see each other later that day; after what? 5 months of not seeing each other? And only had an occassional-texting-to-each-other and poking-back-each-other-in-Facebook type of communication? Wow! I was like, yay! Hallelujah! :D
Well, it's not that we're contented with just that, a'right? It's just that we're both busy and preoccupied with a lot of things in our lives; she, with her work in Accenture and me, with studies.
I remember the last time we saw each other was last May this year, when I celebrated my birthday with her and my family. ;) So the thought of finally seeing and having to bond with each other, again, after a looong while got me thrilled and super excited that I immediately agreed to meet up with her. :)
Fast forward to the date and place we met. Well, we had the usual greeting, just like whenever we saw each other in the university grounds: the tight hug, the oh-so-familiar high-pitched "Nay!" endearment she used to call me way back when we were still in highschool and until now, and the megawatt smiles plastered in our faces! Walang nagbago. :)
So where did the surprises spring from? Ito na. The first surprise was: a shirt from Artwork! As far as I can remember and if I'm not mistaken, it's still half-a-year away until my next birthday but Margs announced that, apparently, it was my birthday that day. Yeah. She can do it! :)
I don't hate surprises but I abhor being surprised. Don't get me wrong, I just dislike the feeling of not knowing something everyone already knew except me. For me, that was like you just alienated me from your world.. or something like that! Hahaha but then again, I loved it! It's so sweet that I found the hard time to yell at her. Chos! :P Since it was my birthday according to her, she gave me a gift. This cutie girly shirt from Artwork which looks exactly the same shirt she wore that day, only the color is different! Hahaha! (FYI: When she was still in college, we both bought a shirt in Artwork! As in parehong-pareho!:D)
Thank you, again, Margs for this! :)
But wait! Thre's more! She also gave me chocolates! Yay, sweetness! ;) And she also treated me to a movie house. Since the film we want to watch wasn't showing in SM Manila Cinemas anymore, we headed to MOA instead. Luckily, the film that we both like to see; The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole was still being showed there. So, being the Owl City-fangirl that we are, she immediately bought tickets for both of us. It was our first time to watch a film on 3D hahaha! So basically, it was an all-fun experience for both of us! :D And I'm glad we have each other to share that same feeling. Too bad I wasn't able to bring a camera. The unprofessional blogger that I am. :(
Anyways, we really loved the soundtrack for this movie. :)
I enjoyed this movie a lot. It's a good watch! :)
There are so many things we did that day that we did for the first time. I'm just like tinatamad na mag-type hahaha! :P Oh, we ate pala at Greenwich before going home. We tried the Top That Pizza and wham! We didn't able to finish it. We just couldn't. It's huge! But it was yummy! ;)
So there goes the very surprising Saturday of my life. That's the best Saturday I've ever had this year, actually. By the way, kamusta naman? Over 1 month after, saka ko pa lang nagawan ng blog ito. Hahaha! Excuse my lazy blogging updates. :)
